We are pleased to be hosting the 33rd Workshop on Instruction in Library Use (WILU) being held this year for the first time in Victoria, British Columbia from June 14 to 16. This annual conference offers sessions in both English and French and covers a wide variety of topics on Library instruction. Participants and speakers come from all over Canada, the United States and the world.

This year's theme explores best practices in teaching pedagogy, student learning and teaching assessments, implementation of Information Literacy programs on campus and more!

We're looking forward to seeing you in June.

Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath Display

Manuscripts acquired in 1966 to compliment Special Collections' growing Ted Hughes book collection yielded an additional bonus of drafts and fragments on the reverse pages -- some of which are by Sylvia Plath.

The display gives a brief glimpse into the creative process of the two poets through colour copies of some drafts. In addition there are examples of their earliest book dust jacket designs as well as books and poster poems made in collaboration with graphic artists.
