New Islamic Art Book Display in McPherson Library

A stunning display of beautiful books on Islamic art and architecture is on the new book shelf, with books that have been purchased this year through the Owen Padmore Memorial Fund. The fund was formally established by the Padmore family in 2002 in memory of their son. Owen Padmore developed a deep interest in the visual culture of the Islamic world during his studies at the University of Victoria. The books will be on display November 23 - December 7th in McPherson Library.

Safari Tech books Online
Safari Tech Books Online is the premier e-reference library for programmers and IT professionals. The UVIC Safari bookshelf contains 238 of the most popular IT titles.

Gutenberg-e
The Gutenberg-e prizewinning books have undergone a rigorous academic review process by distinguished historians brought together by the American Historical Association and produced through a close collaboration between the authors and the electronic publishing staff at Columbia University Press.

ACLS History Ebook Project
The ACLS History E-Book (HEB) Project includes over 1000 titles of major importance to historical studies.
